Purple Gem Rhododendron
A dwarf form, with small, slightly aromatic blue-green leaves. The bright purple flowers appear in mid-season. Sun tolerant. Great in a rock garden, as an edging, or foundation planting. H-1. It prefers partial shade to full sun, and moist, cool, acidic well-drained organic soil. Removal of spent blossoms encourages new growth and future flowers.
