Cascara
A shrub or small tree with dark green, deeply veined leaves. Small greenish-white flowers appear in spring maturing to reddish-black berries that are prized by wildlife. Fall color is yellow. Prefers moist, well-drained soils and part shade. A Pacific Northwest native.
