Thundercloud Flowering Plum
A dense rounded tree with deep, purple foliage. In the fall, there are red tints with the purple foliage. It blooms in the early spring with single pink flowers. It rarely sets fruit. It prefers full sun to part shade in an average, medium moisture, well-drained soil. The best flowering and purple leaf color is in full sun. Introduced by Luther Burbank in 1912.
