An upright, arching shrub with deep purple foliage. The late spring flowers are pinkish white, held in rounded 'snowball' type clusters. The combination creates a stunning contrast. Beautiful exfoliating bark is most visible in winter. It prefers full sun, but some afternoon shade in the hottest climates is welcome. It tolerates a range of soil conditions. Prune after flowering for form. Offered as a shrub and in tree form. PP 11,211.
