Zabergau Reinette Apple
It originated in Germany, and is larger than most russetted apples. It has a sharp flavor and dense flesh straight from the tree, but becomes sweeter after a month or so in storage.The greenish yellow skin is flushed orange with bright red stripes and overlaid with russet.
