Ruby Slippers Oakleaf Hydrangea

A compact shrub that is covered in early summer with large cones of flowers that begin white, but quickly turn pink and deepen to rose pink. The oakleaf-shaped foliage is dark green in summer, mahogany red in fall. Tolerant of sun to partial shade in a moist, well-drained soil. An introduction of the U.S. National Arboretum in 2010.
