Rivers Purple Beech
A large, pyramidal to rounded, formal tree. The leaves emerge in the spring a deep, translucent, purple and hold their color well into the summer. The fall color is bronze. Grow in full sun in a rich, moist, well-drained soil. Sometimes called Copper Beech. Use as an accent or specimen in the landscape. It may be sheared to form a large hedge.
