This is a hybrid of Crimson Frost and Whitespire birch, maintaining the rich purple, nearly black foliage of the one parent with the white bark of the other. It shows resistance to Japanese beetle. The form is an upright pyramidal tree. Fall color is yellow to orange with a few reddish tinges. It grows in full sun to part shade, with the best color in full sun. It needs consistently moist soils, but not water logged.
