Sun Valley Red Maple
Selected by the U.S. National Arboretum from a cross of 'Red Sunset' and 'Autumn Flame'. It was chosen for long lasting red fall color and significant leafhopper resistance. The foliage is a dark green in the summer. An upright oval form, with symmetrical branching. It is a male selection. It is adaptable to a wide range of soil conditions, preferring slightly acid, moist soils. Does best in full sun.
