Nova Zembla Rhododendron

A fast growing, upright shrub. The trusses are red with lavender undertones and a darker blotch. The flowers appear in mid-season. It has glossy green leaves with a twisted edge. One of the more sun tolerant rhododendrons. H-1. It prefers partial shade to full sun, and moist, cool, acidic well-drained organic soil.
