Pyrus calleryana ‘Chanticleer’

Chanticleer Flowering Pear

An upright, pyramidal, formal tree with glossy, dark green leaves. It blooms in the early spring with white flowers. The fall color is purple to reddish-orange. It prefers full sun and an organically rich, well-drained soil with consistent summer moisture. It is adaptable to a wide range of soils including heavy clay. Selected in 1959 by Scanlon Nursery of Ohio. It is also known as 'Cleveland Select'.
