A compact, narrow pyramidal shrub with rich green foliage. The color holds throughout the winter. It tolerates a wide range of soils,and prefers full sun to part shade. It will do better with regular summer moisture. Keep them trained to a single leader to avoid snow and ice damage. It makes a great hedge, screen or as an accent in the landscape. Also known as 'Smaragd'.
