Magnolia 'Galaxy' - Blue Heron Nursery

Magnolia ‘Galaxy’

Galaxy Magnolia

An upright tree with bright green foliage. The late season reddish-purple buds open to a rich pink-purple flower that is lighter on the inside. The blooms are sweetly fragrant. Prefers full to part sun, in a rich, moist, well-drained soil. Blooms occur about two to three weeks later than many others, avoiding potential frost to the buds. Introduced by the U.S. National Arboretum in 1980.
