Mount Airy Fothergilla
Vigorous, upright shrub has fragrant white "bottle brush" type flowers in early spring. Fall color is a spectacular blend of red, orange, and yellow. Prefers full sun to part shade in average, well-drained soil. Discovered by Michael Dirr at the Mt. Airy Arboretum.
