The needles are a striking, shimmering blue when young, maturing to green during the summer. The narrow form has a layered habit. A cold hardy selection from seed collected in the mountains of Afghanistan and named for the founder of the Botanical Museum in Kazan. It prefers full sun and a well-drained soil.
