A dense, pyramidal, fast growing tree. The large, glossy green leaves turn yellow in the fall. It has subtle clusters of fragrant yellow flowers in early summer that are very attractive to bees. Adaptable to some urban conditions, preferring a site in full sun in an average, well-drained soil. Useful as a shade, specimen, or boulevard tree.
