Picea pungens ‘Baby Blue Eyes’

Baby Blue Eyes Colorado Blue Spruce

This selection is slower growing than other Colorado Blue Spruce. The needles are a silvery-blue. It grows in a uniform, conical form, and well branched. It needs full sun, and prefers an acidic, medium moisture soil. Although drought tolerant, it requires reliable moisture until well established. A great accent in the landscape. It was discovered as a sport of 'Moerheimi' by Verl Holden in Oregon.
