Pennisetum alopecuroides 'Hameln' - Blue Heron Nursery

Pennisetum alopecuroides ‘Hameln’

Dwarf Fountain Grass

Arching deep green foliage in summer, changes to orange-bronze in fall. In late summer foxtail-like flower heads appear above the foliage. This is similar to the species with the improvements of shortened flower heads and more compact growth. Easily grown in full sun to part shade in average, medium to wet soil. It looks best in large groups, in the shrub border, rock garden, or near a water feature.
