Dawn Redwood

This is a fast growing, deciduous conifer, with a tidy conical form. The new foliage emerges soft green in color and texture. The fall color is rusty orange. Grow in full sun in moist, well-drained, slightly acid soils. First found as fossils, later as living trees in the 1940's.
