Ocean Spray

A large shrub, native to the western United States. It blooms in late spring with fragrant, creamy white flowers, held in large drooping plumes. The older bark is dark red to brown or gray and exfoliates. It performs best with some shade. It will grow in moist to dry soils once established. Attractive to butterflies.
