Halesia carolina ‘Arnold Pink’

Arnold Pink Silverbell

This is a low branched tree that forms a broad, rounded crown as it matures. The bell-like flowers dangle below the branches, are about ¾ to 1” long. Just as the foliage emerges, shrimp pink buds open to rose-pink and fade to very light pink. It was introduced by the Arnold Arboretum. It performs best in moist, acid soils and full sun to part shade.
