Daboecia x scotica ‘William Buchanan’

William Buchanan Irish Heath

A vigorous, low spreading shrub.  Blooms from early summer until fall with pendulous, crimson-red bells. It will perform best in moist, acid soils that are well-drained. Don't allow it to dry out. In nature, they grow near bogs. Useful for banks, ground cover, mass planting or as an edging plant in the shrub border. Lightly prune after flowering to maintain a tidy form.
