- Flaky bark adds texture
A broadly pyramidal, formal tree that is quite tolerant of adverse conditions. Bright green leave have serrated edges, the bark can be flaky, both adding texture. Fall color is yellowish. It thrives in hot, dry and cold climates. Tolerates alkaline soils and urban conditions. It should be considered more often for urban landscapes and street tree use.
