Chamaecyparis obtusa 'Nana Lutea' - Blue Heron Nursery

Chamaecyparis obtusa ‘Nana Lutea’

Golden Dwarf Hinoki Cypress

A dense irregular, very slow growing shrub. The foliage is in small fans of golden yellow, with brighter tones of paler yellow. As the foliage matures, it darkens toward green in the center of the plant. The form becomes a gracefully layered, narrow pyramid. It will grow best in light shade, in many soils, as long as they are well-drained. Once established, they are drought tolerant.
