Cercis canadensis ('Covey') Lavender Twist® - Blue Heron Nursery

Cercis canadensis (‘Covey’) Lavender Twist®

Lavender Twist® Eastern Redbud

This is a delightful, weeping tree with a twisting growth habit. The branches arch to form an umbrella shaped crown. The height and form will depend on how each tree is staked and trained. It blooms in the spring with a profusion of lavender-pink flowers. It is easily grown in average soils in full sun to part shade. It will perform best in moderately fertile soils with consistent moisture. Avoid wet or poorly drained soils. It was found in the garden of Miss Connie Covey in the early 1990’s. PP 10,328.
