Aronia arbutifolia 'Brilliantissima' - Blue Heron Nursery

Aronia arbutifolia ‘Brilliantissima’

Red Chokeberry

An upright shrub that spreads by suckering. The waxy dark green leaves turn brilliant red in the fall, and can last into early winter. This makes it an alternative for the non-native Burning Bush. The white flowers in mid-spring are followed by red berries. Adapts well to poor soils, both wet and dry. The best fruit production occurs in full sun.
