Scarlet Sentinel® Red Maple
A narrow, columnar Red Maple, excellent choice for street tree use. The rich green foliage turns yellow to orange-red in the fall. The leaves are larger than other A. rubrum selections. One of the faster growing upright maples. It tolerates summer heat well, prefers moist, acidic soils with good drainage. Once established it will have some tolerance to drought. Introduced in 1972.
